1979年1月28日至2月5日，时任国务院副总理的邓小平访美九天，是中美两国关系发展史上的一宗大事这次出访可谓承前启后，在毛泽东、周恩来于七十年代初期取得的中美关系解冻基础上，高瞻远瞩地开拓了中国未来的国际影响力，并为改革开放、落实四个现代化建设起到了铺垫作用。
