同前五辑一样，本书选取了刊登在2017年度《华东师范大学学报》以及靠前其他核心期刊上的，人文社会科学（包括教育）方面的重要论文十余篇，体现了华东师范大学文科学术研究方面的近期新成果。本丛书前四辑版权已输出到新加坡World Scientific出版公司，根据双方协议，本辑出版后也将收入WSPC-ECNU中国书系中。

高瑞泉，哲学博士，华东师范大学终身教授。主要著述有《天命的没落：中国近代唯意志论思潮研究》，《中国现代精神传统：中国现代性观念的谱系》，《从历史中发现价值》，《智慧之境》，《平等观念史论略》，合著有《中国近代社会思潮》、《转折时代的精神转折》等数种；主编“中国的现代性与人文学术”丛书、《中国思潮评论》丛刊。另有论文百余篇。为《华夏学术》（ECNU Review）靠前辑、第二辑、第三辑和第四辑的主编。
