《中西设计文化美学》一书探寻了中西设计文化的思想根源进行——哲学思想、价值观念、思维模式、家庭观念、两性观念和宗教信仰等对中西设计文化的影响， 通过对设计分类研究分析比较中西设计文化，包括中西城市设计、器具设计、雕塑设计等。本书采用中英文对照和图文对照方式，以图释文，以文解图，二者相辅相成，更加生动形象地解说中西设计文化的内涵。
