This book consists of a collection of essays on various aspects of group theory and some related areas, written by Professor Tuan's former students and colleagues, who are known by their own work in these aspects respectively. Each essay contains the main results, in particular, the recent results of one aspect, obtained by Chinese mathematicians. We hope the book will help the mathematicians in the world to know how group theory in China has been developed, what main results in the field have been obtained by Chinese mathematicians and what problems of this field Chinese mathematicians are interested in.
