姚育言，生于1960年6月。1980年毕业于中等师范，1983年结业于黄冈教师进修学院英语专业；1987年毕业于黄冈教育学院（后并入黄冈师范学院）英语系，在中学任英语教师至今。用英语诗歌体裁翻译的宋词《竹马子·柳永》发表在《唐山文学》2017年第10期上。
