《滕吉文文集(第2卷中国大陆和陆缘岩石圈结构)(精)》由滕吉文著，这是一本地球内部、即地壳和上地幔结构研究的论文集，集中阐明了我国东北、东南和西北地区的精细结构，揭示了其异常展布、特征和深层过程。文集内没有包括青藏高原这一特异地域的壳、幔结构(另有一本专门的文集)，也没有包括地震活动地域，即强烈地震孕育、发生和发展的深层过程和动力机理(另有一本专门的文集)。

《滕吉文文集(第2卷中国大陆和陆缘岩石圈结构)(精)》由滕吉文著，以很大的篇幅阐明了半个多世纪以来我国华北、东北、东南和西北地区进行人工源深部地震探测与壳、幔精细结构的刻画，揭示了在我国不同地域的展布图像、异常、起伏与变化特征和其所表现的深层过程。这些研究成果揭示了我国地壳与上地幔，即岩石圈的层、块速度，密度，磁性和电性结构，发现地壳中存在低速层(高导层)、高速层，以深大断裂为界带的陆内块体边界；揭示了区域性差异与分区(块)特征；揭示出不同块体之间深、浅耦合响应。为大陆内部成山、成盆、成岩、成矿和深化认识地球本体奠定了坚实的深部运动学和动力学探索的基石。

我国人工源地震深部探测中首次发现了华北地区的上地幔低速层的埋藏深度(即软流圈顶部)为(83±2)km。这表明我国大陆与陆缘地带上地幔软流圈的埋藏深度要比全球范围内的平均值小，故显示出该区在地史期间的构造活动特征。

《滕吉文文集(第2卷中国大陆和陆缘岩石圈结构)(精)》基于我国不同地域的地壳精细结构和上地幔盖层及软流圈的埋藏深度和空间结构可见，它们不仅与深部大型活动构造和变异相关，而更为重要的是成山、成盆、成岩、成矿和成核的制约，并显现出深部物质分异、调整和运移的深层过程和动力学响应。基于不同地域壳、幔结构与其变异及深层过程对揭示深部物质与能量的交换、深层过程及其动力机制有着极为重要的作用。
