“新思路大学英语”之《大学英语阅读教程》是根据教育部颁布的《大学英语课程教学要求》以及大学英语四、六级考试最新题型而编写的。改革后的大学英语考试题型更注重学生的扫读和寻读能力培养，改进了阅读理解题型，要求考生在15分钟之内完成约1000个单词的阅读量。鉴于此，《新思路大学英语（大学英语阅读教程第3册）》编者何玲集近十年的大学英语一线教学及考试辅导的经验，认真搜集、整理、分析了最近五年大学英语四、六级阅读理解试题的命题规律、考查重点等，精选本书的阅读材料，并取材于近年来英美和其他英语国家出版的书籍和报纸杂志。
