为了更好地满足高职高专土建类专业对专业英语的教学需要，突出专业英语在工程中的实用性，培养能够用专业口语与外方进行简单交流、能够看懂英文施工技术资料的涉外工程施工的施工技术人员，特编写此书。

《建筑工程专业英语(高职高专规划教材)》选材广泛，图文并茂，实用性强。适用于高职高专院校、中等职业学校土建类专业专业英语的教学。

全书由常州工程职业技术学院建筑工程技术系蒋春霞主编，赵娇和杨波老师任副主编。

《建筑工程专业英语(高职高专规划教材)》共15个单元，每个单元由课文(Text)、阅读材料(Reading Material)和附录(Supplement)3部分构成。内容以建筑工程为主线，按照项目的建造顺序，由浅入深，系统选编了建筑工程、工程项目管理等方面的英文文献共计45篇。为便于学生自学，每篇课文配有单词和词组表，并对课文的难点做必要的注释，并配有与课文相对应的练习， 如问答、填空、英译汉与汉译英等。为拓宽读者知识面，在每篇课文后面安排的两篇与课文内容相近的阅读材料，具有一定的难度，供读者课后阅读。每篇课文后配有科技英语翻译和写作指南，以培养和提高读者的阅读、翻译和写作的能力和技巧。同时，本教材还突出了专业英语口语的训练，在每篇课文后面插入了施工现场实用英语，介绍在涉外工程中常用的口语，供有意提高自身专业英语口语的读者参照。全书最后附有专业英语常用词缀和土木工程专业词汇，供查阅。本教材选材广泛，图文并茂，实用性强。

《建筑工程专业英语(高职高专规划教材)》为高职高专、中等职业学校土建类专业学生的专业英语教材，也可作为同等英语程度的建筑技术人员的参考书，还可供英语爱好者阅读参考。
