The Development Research Center of the State Council is a policy research and consulting institution directly under China's State Council. Its main functions ere: studying overall, comprehensive,strategic end long-term issues in the national economic and social development and reform and opening up, and providing policy recommendations and consulting advice for the Chinese government. The Information Center is mainly responsible for collecting information and data required in the research work of the Development Research Center of the State Council; editing and publishing intema research results of the Development Research Center of the StateCouncil and China Development Review (international academic research exchange matedats); establishing information processing systems and conducting informa tion exchanges wth other institutions; carrying out research on relevant topics and providing information and consutting services.
