美国为什么能在短短的两百多年间发展成为世界上唯一的超级大国？美国在崛起的过程中碰到什么问题，是如何解决的？美国的现状如何？《美国研究十一讲(英文版)》由梅仁毅教授主编，美国教育基金会与北京外国语大学美国研究中心鼎力打造，解读美国的政治、经济、社会、文化、文学和国际关系。

2012年和2013年，北京外国语大学美国研究中心和美国教育基金会合作，连续举办了两期高校教授美国研究的教师暑期讲习班，由北京外国语大学美国研究中心的教师主持。他们从政治学、经济学、社会学、文化学、文学、国际关系等方面入手，介绍了美国研究的各个方面。前后参加讲习班的老师有30多人。在了解反馈的基础上，经过对讲稿的修改，梅仁毅编辑了这本《美国研究十一讲(英文版)》。这本书编写的目的就是要回答下面几个问题：美国为什么能在短短的两百多年间发展成为世界上唯一的超级大国?美国在崛起过程中碰到什么问题，是如何解决的?美国的现状如何?相关回答可以使读者对美国有比较本质、全面的了解。本书可供讲授美国社会与文化或美国研究的老师作参考，也可供研究美国或想了解美国的学生作参考。
