由清华大学信息科学与技术国家实验室（筹）生物信息学研究部和清华大学自动化系主办的第七届亚太生物信息学大会（APBC2009）在清华科技园国际会议中心开幕。本届大会是中国大陆首次举办大规模正规生物信息学国际会议，来自美国，德国，澳大利亚等20多个国家和地区的近300位代表齐聚清华，交流生物信息学和计算生物学的最新研究成果。大会为期4天，包括7场特邀报告、76个口头学术报告、两场产业报告和100多个张贴报告。本书为该大会的论文集英文版。

This is the Proceedings Volume for the 7th Asia-Pacific Bioinformatics Conference (APBC2009) which was held in Beijing, China in January 2009.This series of influential conferences with strong international participation was begun in 2003 in Adelaide, Australia. It has been central in creating an Asian-Pacific community of scientists who are using computational methods to study the rapidly emerging data from modern biology and genomics.
