根据国内文体学领域的研究和阅读需求，本选集聚焦于反映最近的研究动态，除了两篇奠基性的论文，选取的都是1999年以来文体学研究的新成果。在每一部分的导读里，都说明了每篇选文的出处。本选集中的论文按照不同的文体学派分类，以方便读者查阅。无论在西方还是在中国，中青年学者都构成了推进文体学发展的生力军。
