A distraught lohanna Oakley wanders the streets of London seeking news of her missing fiance, Mark lngestrie. She is befriended by Colonel Jeffrey, who is searching for his lost friend Thornhill, last seen in Sweeney Todd's Fleet Street barber-shop.
