The girls recur across almost all my projects. Why? Okay,I saw this interview--Bill Moyers or something, he was interviewing a geneticist and asked. "Well, what's the point of all the research you're doing? You're doing this, you're doing that, you've moved all around the field--what's the thread connecting all these different projects?" The scientist said, totally deadpan, "Well, eventually we hope to create the perfect woman." It's like, I make a lot of abstract art, I make these things about Gravity's Rainbow and am kind of doing all of these other things, too, but then I think."Wow, if I can figure out how to use this in the picture of some hot girl it will be THE most beautiful painting possible." It's a weird thing--there's always that feedback loop, like starting by thinking, "How do I use this in a girl painting?"
