《电力公共英语》是按照《职业学校英语教学大纲》的要求组织编写的教材。内容以学生掌握的600个英语单词为基础，贴近目前中专教学的实际情况，覆盖了“大纲”的全部语法项目和所有的交际功能项目，其中语法部分独立编排，便于学生随时查阅；本书内容涉及问候用语、风俗习惯、城市问题、教育、旅游、交通、求职、环保等各方面。课文体裁多样，题材新颖，通过精讲多练，使学生系统掌握语法结构，提高学生听、说、读、写综合能力。本书主要作为职业院校英语教学用书。

本书为全国电力职业教育规划教材。
