The concept of the kitchen has evolved with time. At the outset of the twentieth century, it was a forgotten room, relegated to a secondary place and never revealed to society. Even in some more humble homes, the kitchen was a place exclusively for cooks and servants. All that mattered was the final product of the activity that took place within: the meals to be served in the dining room. As such, the distribution and appearance of the room were unimportant.
