Looking back over the past 40-plus years, the implementation of the reform and opening-up policy the key to what makes today’s China. While advancing domestic development, China has always held high the banner of peace, development, cooperation and win-win results, worked to align the Chinese Dream with the global dream, promoted global economic growth through international cooperation platforms such as the Belt and Road Initiative, and provided Chinese proposals for world peace and human development. In this book, Chinese and foreign scholars interpret China’s reform and opening-up and the Belt and Road Initiative from various perspectives and form a new mode of cross-cultural discussion, to better understand China in the context of cultural diversity and multiple modernities.
