《南方民族考古》是已故有名考古学家、原四川大学博物馆馆长童恩正教授创办并长期担任主编的一份以研究中国南方以及东南亚地区民族学、考古学为主要目标的大型学术丛刊，是四川大学考古学科的代表性学术成果。自1987年创刊以来，目前已经出版25辑。《南方民族考古》（第二十七辑）共刊发考古发掘简报4篇、研究文章10篇。考古发掘简报有《荆门市响岭岗墓地2018年度发掘简报》《四川资中睢家坝千佛岩摩崖造像调查简报》《重庆奉节县白帝城樊家台遗址H1发掘报告》《四川渠县城坝遗址2021年度冶炼遗存发掘简报》。
