耐热高产优质小麦新品种中麦895的选育与应用”获得了2019年农业农村部中华农业科技奖科研成果一等奖。为与同行进行交流，交换意见，研究团队从已发表的论文中挑选25篇编成本书，对中麦895的主要特性做了系统深入研究，书中分四部分，分别为：耐热性和产量性状；根系与肥料利用效率；抗病性与黑胚；加工品质与营养特性。其主要内容体现三点创新性：一，用建立起的高通量田间表型鉴定技术分析表明，中麦895携带4个高千粒重和灌浆速率QTL，这是其耐高温和高产广适的主要原因；二，携带1个全生育期抗条锈病主效QTL、2个成株期抗白粉病QTL和1个抗赤霉病QTL，综合抗病性好；三，含低分子量麦谷蛋白亚基Glu-A3d等优质基因，酚酸含量高且稳定，营养价值高。
