本书是由中国金属学会和东北大学联合主办将于2022年7月4日至6日在辽宁省沈阳市召开的“第六届国际热机械加工会议”的论文集。会议的主题围绕钢铁和有色金属材料的热机械加工领域，要盖三个方面：工艺和产品开发、物理冶金学以及智能制造。东北大学轧制技术及连轧自动化国家重点实验室作为此次会议的承办单位，巴西金属学会、意大利冶金学会、美国钢铁技术协会、捷克冶金学会、德国钢铁学会、奥地利治金学会、印度金属学会、日本钢铁协会、韩国金属学会和中国有色金属学会作为此次会议的协办单位。
